WELL goblin, i didn't want to wait 18 months to build a still

in my 8 qt. pot still.
on a 750 watt hot plate.
outside while working on my land.
just part of my day now.

AND I'm not worried about volume.
I'M looking for quality.

got another 3 gal
and 2, 5 gal carboy's of sugar wash working

doing an AG today consisting of
8lb corn
2lb 6row
2lb rye

got a qt and a half from last week left

i don't think i'll get thirsty anytime soon...........
and will be able to share a sip or two soon.

Hello Shine NOLA. You are right on about quality. The volume you can deal with when you are ready. With the US cooling, as in in winter, one must check your ferments temps. 75 to 85F is a good starting point. This and checking the PH is helpful. Shine NOLA you will do just fine. srs

it sure was
2 gals and i got about 40 ounces (32 at 55% and 8 at 35%)
will keep this and add to the next few runs
until i have 6 qts to run a 2nd time
by then i should be doing ok on my cuts
you can tell the difference if you taste, taste, taste
