Happy Birthday

First run that I've actually kept my hands off for a full year! UJSSM aged in a three liter oak barrel. I've taken a few samples over the year, and wasn't too impressed. But after cutting to drinking strength, it was worth the wait!

The angels got their share too - about 750ml...

Congratulations, also have you posted that picture of your still before and did you build it? Looks like the six gallon plans that have been floating around the internet!

Yes, I did build it, it is a 12 gal version on Pintoshine's 6 gallon still. Copper thumper and flake stand too. I don't think I posted pics here.

Nice job keeping your hands off for the one year mark. What differences did you notice from the time it went in to coming out?

Yea, that is cool. I would be curious about the above post as well.

Nice looking build. Have the same 12 gallon myself. They sure run nice, don't they? I also made the 6 gallon with flake stand for my dad as father's day gift (he has it on display, doesn't distill but loves it...shiny,copper, still).

Congrats on aging that long...I'm still practicing that part, but getting better as my stock grows!

**edit** what gauge copper you make yours from and what do you use for heat?
