GRAIN BILL FOR BURBON

Post by CRACKERCREEK »

Having a helluv allot of trouble finding a bourbon recipe with Rye in it that has a high OG. Or is this not desired.
Im using a 30 gal Blichman Boilermaker BAP and a 20 Gal fermetation vessel. and a Keg potstill with a liebig condensor.
So far I have done pretty good with sweetfeed shine receipes and all corn although i cant seem to hit OG. How can I calculate #'s of cracked corn to OG per gallon of water. Then Add in the Rye at what %age and offset the corn bill? Im lost how about a recipe, Im sure some of you have a good one or two! If you search Rye here it kinda goes beserk, I am only adding the Rye for flavor since I am using enzymes for conversion. Thanks ol boys an girls
