Heh. Monsanto does everything.

Who knows? It could be as harmless as a little bit of glyphosate (roundup; I've ingested enough of that stuff in my lifetime by spraying in a tractor without a cab), or it could be something a bit worse. Think a minute. If it couldn't be stored in cheap plastic barrels, and it had to be stored in SS, it might not be something that you'd like in your booze and it might be hard to wash out.

I really don't know what could be in there, but I'd want to play it safe.

SS is resistant to most chemicals..

to be on the safe side boil a costic cleaner in the drum like drano then give it a good scrub.

wear rubber gloves dont get it on you, dont breath in the vapours.

rins well with water..

want to be on the safer side rinse it with vinegar

then rinse with water..

leave it sit full of water for a few days...

if the contents kills you after that it was your time to go...

just remember, safety first. you had better let your mother in law have the first drink just to be sure its safe. =O

i dont know where you live but ss kegs here cost around 15-50 depending on who you get it from. for that cheap of a sure thing i would reconsider.

I'd have to pass on that keg, alcohol is just to good of a solvent. If monsanto thought it had to put it in SS then it probubly was some bad shit.
