So I am purchasing one of the 10,000 watt SCRs pictured here http://www.amazon.com/RioRand-Rectifier ... =10000+scr
I am planning on an enclosure, I have random project boxes and old computer parts. I am putting a 120mm fan in it. I am debating on rather I should get a 220v and wire it into my 220 or get a 120 and run a completely separate plug. I dont want 12vdc and have to mess with jacking it into the SCRs existing fan.

SCR Enclosure
I come from a long line of brewers and distillers both legal and illegal. Have to do the family name proud

Re: SCR Enclosure
Well, a little standart fan from a old PC could do it (runs 5 VDC).
It's cheap and should be sufficient for the job.
Mine runs on a old powersupply from a desktop calculator, it's basically just "plug and play".
But if you don't want to mess around with it, i would suggest to stay with the 220 VAC.
A fan from a old solarium could be used .
I have such one for another project, it's really nicely quiet and gives a lot air...more than enough for your SCR.
