I found this design while looking up cheap diy fermentation temp control. It's a simple design, relatively inexpensive, and looks to be scalable to whatever size fermenter you use. I'm going to hit Habitat for Humanity to see if they get any of the 2" foam board, and while I'm there I'll look for a thermostat.

Those use PC fans to circulate cold air past frozen bottles of water. They work great and are very cost efficient too. The only power is when the fan kicks on and the temp controller. I built one before I got a fridge for cheap for my fermenters. STC-1000 and foam total up about $50 tops.pfshine wrote:That's pretty cool. To bad he didn't show the power input.
