accidents happen, for the good, sometimes

was going through the ageing stock i set aside this winter. had some that tasted good when put up. 3 mounths later not so good. so wanted to throw it all back in and get it back to nutrial spirts. well, one was a liter that i put lemon zest in and forgot about. it was so strong and bitter it made the dogs leave. when i do a simple suger wash, it tastes "fruity" at the start, but goes away soon. this time it was lemon flavored. it came over for the whole run and into the tails. and its out of this world. the best i ever done, a great mixer. it even made the cuts stand out more in taste testing. just one of the times when a few dumb ideas came out for the good. going to be doing it again now.
