ALCOBASE SANS DISTILLATION
Is there any one out there who drinks the alcobase without distillation?

They are called wine drinkers. Before you distill your "mash" it is just basically a wine; some call it wines. Depending on the wash you are making it might not taste good until you distill it. If you want to drink it prior to distilling make sure you are making a suitable wine for drinking.

I have some finished potent sugar wash that I will be combining with an upcoming batch that I've tried... I've let it settle, siphoned it off, filtered it several times, and it looks, smells, and tastes like Thunderbird wine... Definitely more potent than your store bought wines, however... A hydrometer/alcometer is on my wish list...

Plenty of other bitter herbs out there other than hops (which ARE a pretty recent addition in the long history of brewing)!Old_Blue wrote:Beer minus hops = sweet ale.
And if the price of hops get any higher that's what we'll all be drinking![]()
Glad I raise my own.
