I was concerned about the charring, but:
Okay, now I see where they say there is some charring at the bottoms. Could work.

100% gimmick. Oak extraction does not equal aging.
The still is not a liar. Mash and ferment quality is 99.9% of your performance.

well they sure are nice pieces of work. IMHO absolutely not worth what they ask for them, but nice anyway.

It's not something I'd buy, but a thought of something to make if I ever get a wood lathe. And yes, they want a bit much for em. Their levitating glass is kinda cool, but again pricey
