1st Sugar wash question?
OK so I put 15 lbs of white sugar 3 lbs of light brown sugar, 5 gallons of spring water and a packet of K1N-1116 yeast all together, I put the yeast in warm water for 15 minutes like the package said and then sealed it up my wash bucket with a airlock on Monday. It has been bubbling about 1 bubble a minute since Tuesday. My question is since readin on here it seems that my yeast isn't going to have enough nutrients to complete its job should I add some tomatoe paste, if so how much or how much of whatever else should I add. I have a 8qt pressure cooker pot still. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am kinda impatient so I did this first before really reading deep into this site. Which is all I have been doing since. I am going to follow one of the tried and true receipes on here for my next wash but I want to try to use this on if I can. Thanks in advance for the replies.

Step 1. Remove 1/2 the wash. You used too much sugar.
Step 2. Put two heaped spoons of tomato paste in a cupful of water, bring it to the boil to sterilise it, then add to the remaining wash.
Step 3. Top the fermenter up with plain water. Pour the water in from a height to re-aerate the wash.
Step 4. Wait, and do your background reading.

And have fun.
