(not recommended where large temperature variations occur frequently, leakage can occur). Does that indicate anything to you ?

Don't know about "blue PTFE". But I've bought the white PTFE gaskets from GVC.

Thanks for yer input fella's! Since PTFE is one (the only?) of the recommended material for gaskets I thought these would probably be okay.

The question is, if blue ptfe is 100% ptfe.

it is ptfe filled with sintered glass. I don't know what the glas helps, but glass is inert and ptfe too. So I see no problem.
On other sites it looks more like "blue ptfe" is a trademark only for normal (pure) ptfe.
