Hi all
I have been distilling, first with a friend and now on my own as well, for a couple of years now. I have made a successful apple/pear slivovitz kinda drink, a brandy "oaked" on beachwood, a graanjenever (dutch gin) and several liquors. I have just moved to a larger home with a garage, so my distilling hobby gets much more attention now. I am now working on making "fries roggebrood" (rye bread) whiskey and trying to make neutral alcohol.
I have been reading a lot on homedistillers, and got a lot of inspiration and theory from there.
I love this hobby because it connects a lot of my interests: building things, electronics (I have an electric still), chemistry and cooking (flavours). Oh: and I drink![Smile :)](./images/smilies/icon_smile.gif)
I thought it was time to participate a bit more, and also to get a bit more direct interaction with kindred spirits!
