ebay is likely the best bet in Canada. Canadian coopers use gold hoops on their barrels...they are crazy expensive. there are lots of places in USA that will ship too. Tapi (they broker lots of sizes), rocky mountain barrel company(new 53 gallon and lots of used) and lots of coopers (black swan and barrel 53 for a couple) will sell to normal folks. Sometime the distilleries will post a sale on used barrels but i have not seen one for a while.
ANy chance you are by Edmonton? i'm thinking of getting from Tapi one day soon. those big ones from rocky mountain are nice but damn, they big. freight may be cheaper if we gang up on a couple.
I finally quit drinking for good.

now i drink for evil.

I have had great service and product from barrelsonline .com - I have four barrels now, all nice quality and the price is hard to beat.

Ded Reer! what a great place to be from! JK...I'll be there on weekend after Easter at the mane event. Great town, i actually buy my fords at MGM. it's worth the drive over the big city dealers.

bet the guys in UK laugh when we call 150km drive to the next town of any size "a smallish world"!

No kidding. A day trip for me could be a 3 hr. drive to go skiing at Sunshine. All a matter of perspective.

Edit: Back to barrel buying....
