To clean or not to clean ???

Hey guys its ma egain
im now int the dry fitting stage of my reflux towerand have a question im unable to find a answered here yet.
my copper pipe has been laying in a shed for some time and has that "old" look about it. I have polished it up with some emery paper and now it looks a million $$.

Like magpies, I like shiny things.
My question is this ...

should i clean the inside of my reflux tower til it shines, or is that just being anal and over the top?

I dont have a drinking problem
I only have a problem drinking.

No need to clean the inside like that to make it shiny. You can't see the inside. Just clean with a vinegar soak and make a water run through it when finished.

the inside doesn't want deep green verdegris but it doesn't want to be shiny new penny looking either.
