Pure Brewers Alcobase
I made a corn mash with corn meal, sugar, malted rye, and non malted rye, with pure brewers alcobase yeast. pitched yeast, and carbon@ 40 degree Celsius as per the destruction's. I have no foam/froth only tiny bubbles with little activity but nothing what it should be, or should it be????? Tried a yeast starter with fleshmans active dry still nothing. This batch has really got the best of me as I had success many times before.

I see in the instructions to avoid room temperature above 24°C or ferment may cease. Could that be it?

Yup. Cool it down. Might take off but if not just pitch more yeast. Should be ok.Still Life wrote:I see in the instructions to avoid room temperature above 24°C or ferment may cease. Could that be it?

Fermentation doesn't always give visual indication. Check with a hydrometer to "see" progress.

I'm of the view you may have misread the instructions.. per the link posted by still life, states the follow..diesel1975 wrote: pitched yeast, and carbon@ 40 degree Celsius as per the destruction's
"Pour 18 L (4.7 gallons) of warm water (40°C/104°F) into your fermenter. Gently dissolve 10.5 kg (23 lbs) of corn sugar (dextrose) into the fermenter. Mix well until sugar is completely dissolved."
That temp stated is for dissolving the sugar, not for the pitching the yeast.. the sugar will reduce the temp down to about the right pitching temp, if not adding some cold water will lower it..
A full wash is for 25L, and the instructions are for 18L of 40C water..
