Re: Fireball Cinnamon Wiskey
I've tried the cinnamon extract, didn't taste right. but did some experimenting, and found something that comes close.
I started out with some white rum, cause thats what I had, corn wiskey would be better I'm sure
added a good measure of powdered cinnamon (not sure exacly how much I used), but kept adding a little at a time untill it took on the cinnamon twang and heat.
shook it every couple hours to keep the cinnamon in suspesnion, then after a day or so, filtered it out with a cloth. then allowed it a couple days for the rest of the cinnamon to settle.
used corn syrup to add a little sweetness and theckening.
its a different color than the stor bought kind but th taste is very close.

It tastes a whole lot like the cinamon heart candies they have around valantines day (around here anyway) If you know what I mean, I'd take a handful and dissolve them in water (boil?) to make a flavor syrup. Never tried it but I think that's how I'd go about it.
