Lost my mother in law today

Just short of her 93rd birthday my mother in law past 2 hrs ago. She stopped taking food and water a week ago. Been by her side with the rest of the family for most of the week.

I'm sorry for your loss Bushman, we went through the same thing a couple months ago.
It's never easy, I hope you and yours have a lot of good memories.
One thing my wife did was to get pictures from everyone and make an album that everyone shared at the memorial, all the pictures were of my mother in law with other family members.
I know it helped.

Thank you, we are thankful that we returned in time from our vacation to be with her and the rest of the family. For the last six months she was in memory care and had been going down hill so it was not a sudden surprise. What I learned from the experience is to take care of the details so we don't leave our children with the burden of all the decision making.

Again this community on the forum is so supportive and I appreciate all of you!

93 years is quite a run, and what a crazy 93 years to live through. I’ll bet she saw things she never could have imagined in her early years. My thoughts are with your family.

Condolences to you and yours. I’m about to go pour a grappa nightcap so tonight am raising my glass to your wifes mom. I’ll proof it to 93 proof in her honour. It’s a very good number.
