Brown particles in my stripping run?

Post by PopcornJr »

Hello. I am a novice. I made some corn mash and did a stripping run for the first time ever. I am getting lots of brown particles in my product that float and stick to the side of the jug. This saddens and bewilders me. I ran some cheap wine through the still and then washed everything carefully prior to this maiden voyage. I did not run vinegar through with the possibly low-quality reasoning that I was going to practice with wine and that the wine would do the same job as vinegar in cleaning a virgin still. I note that no brown particles came out during the test run with cheap wine. My question is: should I toss this stuff or can I clean it up during a spirit run? Thank you.
