Tim Smith "Aged" Whiskey

Post by AKAAB »

Mmmm... Aged in oak...for 24 hours.

Hey Tim, just playing an Oak Ridge Boys CD in the distillery doesn't count.

The secret 24-hour aging process involves electrolysis and a stopwatch.

I haven’t tried Tim’s “Climax” products, so I can’t comment on their quality. But I must say that Tim has come a long way since his “moonshining” days. I know he has made a respectable living doing something that he enjoys doing. And as they say, “when you love what you’re doing...you never have to work a day in your life”.

Without doubt many here would relish the income he’s earned. Again, this doesn’t address the product at all, just the revenue stream resulting from his endeavors. He’s invested time and money to make something...and he’s found a way to market it. Whether or not he goes bankrupt, or is acquired in a merger, depends on the product and getting it to the shelf. I can’t condemn him for that.

Congrats Tim, as you’ve managed to do what many here aspire to do. Keep up the good work. And don’t ever forget your roots...it will sustain you through good times and troubled.

I believe that the majority of the flavor and dark amber color come from the dip spit that they add in before bottling.
It’s a nice blend from Tim and Tickles tobacco spittoon bucket.

Tim’s laughing all the way to the bank.

Cheers

That's probably where they get those "revolutionary flavors" the bottle says it has.

That said Bullshit sells and I agree with still_stirrin, Tims doing alright.

There are no lies on the label. I think it is a funny and honest remark: aged 24 hours! I like that kind of sincerety.

I suppose the history of Tim Smith as showed on Moonshiners is more or less correct and I conclude that Tim Smith has come a long way, he worked very hard for it and he deserves the merits. Alongside that: he has shown to be a trustworthy man, who is true to his friends. I really liked the scene where a member of the pursuing force came to visit him and whished him good luck.

I don't know about the quality of his whiskey, but we can not blame him for seeking fast ways of aging his whiskey. A large number of people do that, by much stranger ways.
