Hello everyone! Long time lurker, rare poster.
I have brewing beer mainly for the last few years. I am now using an electric all grain beer system called brewtools (https://www.brewtools.no/en/brewing-sys ... u_220_240v)
This is a good system with digital effect and temperature control. I have recently bought some extra supplies for it, including a steam hat (https://www.brewtools.no/en/hjem/73-ste ... 40pro.html) and a steam condenser (https://www.brewtools.no/en/hjem/85-ste ... embly.html) to reduce electricity costs and steam/moisture in my garage.
As you can see in the pictures, the assembled brewing system with steam hat and condenser is basically a pot still. My question is then: do you think it could be used as such as well? I am a bit worried about the silicone gaskets between the steam hat and boiler, as well as the plastic inspection hatch in the steam hat.
Thanks for all help in advance!
