Aging with maple wood
Has anyone used toasted maple to age any spirit. Im mostly wondering about rum but some cornflakes whiskey as well. I have an unlimited supply of it i can cut up and use. Not so much oak though. I will try some but was just checking to see if anyone has done it.

Re: Aging with maple wood
I've had good results with well cured Japanese maple. I have some broad leaf maple too but have never used it. I know there are some around who have used other maples.
