Are ferrules safe
They have on ebay brass 4" ferrules that solder over od of copper pipe is brass safe?

EMAILED THEM ON LEAD FREE
ON EBAY HIGHPROOFPRODUCTS
They are lead free per manufacturer.
So I assume they should be okay to use

If you are soldering anyway you COULD tin the brass where it contacts the liquid.
Just add a nice coat of solder.

Agree with The Baker . If in doubt tin it with solder . ... lead free of cause .
Seriously though , if its on the outside of the copper , then there will be hardly any of the brass exposed to the alcohol anyway as it will be sandwiched between teflon gaskets. .

Thanks guys Gonna order them and will tin the 1/2 inch in the vapor stream to be safe

I think you’ll be fine using them, as others have said.
And I’d suggest using DWV copper as it will be less expensive than M, K or L.
