seen a 6 gal pint in action

Post by big worm »

watched a 6gal pint still with thumper in action...by far the best run i've seen yet. that thumper was sooo cool! it was charged with 3gal tailsy neutral 50% and 3gal fast stripped ujssm, not sure if its the copper but,it heated up very quickly with a minamum amount of heat and 1/2 inch water in the thumper. as soon as it started flowing the heat was kicked back to nearly nothing at all...has to be the copper. anyway....took off a pint for the fores then two pints worth of heads, then setteld back collecting in a gallon jar and then another.it put off 2 gallons of 85% and 1/4 gallon of 70% then the tails really kicked in the neutral was tailsy to start with. this thing just pissed sure and steady till the very end as the ABV dropped out and, it dropped like a rock it just slowed down like the thumper was catching all the water and only the etho was coming out i combined the heads and tails to make a gal. of fients for the next run, it was trick 3 marbles ratchting nice and easy....thumper thumping...the sound of a twisted stream the thickness of a pencil lead pissing into a boj {big ol jar} it was the most relaxing thing in a while....it nearly drove its self....god i hate my reflux... biggest waste of copper...lol i don't know much but all stills are not created equal.

I am so glad that the owner of the copper pot with a thumper enjoys himself. It does my heart good to hear such a designe is such a wonder to operate.

Your story is inspirational, there is the holy grail just out of reach for many of us!

I like my reflux because it will mop up my failures and make them good enough. One day...not too long now I hope.

Would anyone happen to know how to upsize the 6 gallon to a 10 gallon template? I have a 3x4 foot copper sheet and not quite enough to do a 12 gallon and was thinking I could change the template to a 10 gallon one. Thanks for the help!!
