Actually yesterday we had our Norwegian Cookie Day where as a family we got together at different stations and made Norwegian cookies and made others for an exchange, dividing everything up at the end.

Ah, krumkakes! My step-mom was Norwegian and made those for us every Christmas. She called ‘em ‘stovepipes’. Great treat.

Now those are some online cookies I’m willing to accept!
I just read an article about the dangers of drinking that scared the crap out of me.
That’s it. No more reading!

We made Norwegian cookies as a family and also made a dozen other cookies for each of our families as an exchange. We divided the Norwegian cookies up later after we were done.

Yeah, their recipes are pretty close. Cannoli’s are fried and krumkakes are cooked on an iron. I’d eat either one of ‘em with a bourbon whipped cream/cream cheese stuffed down the middle.
