Constantly having to log in

Post by Laredo7mm »

Not sure if this is the correct place, so please move this post if needed.

How do I set it up to where I don’t have to constantly log in to reply or edit a post?

I just logged in, composed a post, tried to submit it and I was logged out. Logged in gain where it said I needed to be logged in to reply, and then still couldn’t post. Had to go back to the main page to log in again and post the message. Then I went to make an edit, and it was a no go, had to log in again. Logged in multiple times with no luck.

Any suggestions on how to fix this? It is annoying.

On edit; just happened again from the time I logged in and finished composing the above message, I was logged out. Got the message to go through and saw a typo, tried to fix it and was prompted to log in again. 😤

Are you on a computer, android or iphone?

I had similar issues on my android here's my solution, that whole thread may help.

I believe it's related to stale cookies unless you're not clicking the "remember me" box.

I’m on an iPhone, and frequently have the same issues. It seems to happen in spurts. I can go days without an issue, or have it happen repeatedly minutes apart. I’ve taken to copying everything I type before sending, just in case. That way I can just paste it and try again.

Well, I just enabled the “remember me” option and we will see if that works. I should have added that I am on an iPad and I am not using safari as a browser. It seems like every time I move to a new window then I need to log in again. This will be a bit of a test to see if the remember me option solves my issue. Previously I would copy and paste my post so I could replicate it easily.

@Wildcats No not from Texas, I’m from SW Michigan. I pulled the Laredo7mm from my favorite rifle. A Winchester 7mm mag and they called it their Laredo model. Bought it probably 25 to 30 years ago. That thing can drive tacks. My best 3 shot group at 200 yards is 3/8 of and inch, center to center. :)

Ahhh, yes, the “remember me” option is working. I just posted, and edited ,y message without having to log in again. If this new post goes through, then all is good. I like simple solutions.

Yes, that is the solution. Thanks all, we can kill this thread now, it all seems to be working OK.

I have no problems on this forum but my boating forum is a pain in the ass as I have to log in every time even when I pick save.

I have replied to a few posts now and all is good after I enabled the remember me option. :)

Check remember me before filling out the user and PW fields
<no stopping to corner anytime [] no parking passenger zone>

When people tell me I'll regret that in the morning, I sleep till noon.
