Hi all,

Thanks for having me. Keen beer brewer here who has been thinking about getting into distilling for years, and finally decided to make the jump.

I was very close to buying a T500 setup before I found this forum and did a bit of reading (lucky escape by the sound of it!)

I ended up buying a Boka still from a guy here in New Zealand who makes them out of recycled stainless. My plan is to run the reflux still and make a few neutrals (I’m thinking Birdwatchers), before I either make or buy a pot still (this guy also makes a pot still condenser that attaches to the top of the Boka column)

Very keen on gin and rum (hence the name) so it won’t be long before I’ll be needing the pot still.

Still working on my setup at the moment as I need a recirculating water supply to the still, due to living rural and being on tank water.

In the meantime I’ll carry on with my hours of reading each day.
