this is basically a stockpot with an everlasting gasket binder clipped to an inverted mixing bowl that i put a 2" triclamp bulkhead on. to make the hole i tapped a small hole in the center and trimmed around with snips till i had a rough circle, then i made a sandpaper bit for my drill and ground it round and smooth.

the total footprint is 42" which is just the perfect distance from my stove burner to the counter edge. the flange from the thump keg that has nothing on it connects to my shotgun, the water supply is my sink with an adapter for a garden hose. output to drain.

boiler stockpot is 6 gallons, the keg is a 1/6 barrel 5.17gal

more to come

Looking good man. Will be interested in hearing how you like the addition of the thumper. I've been thinking about building one as well. Just haven't found a used sanky keg in the 7.5 gal range yet. If I don't find a used one soon. I'll just have to pay for a new one. I would be able to use it as a smaller boiler as well.
Thanks for sharing this. Looking good man.

if you care to look through my posts you can see that the riser, thump spear, etc are part of my double 15.5 keg pot/thumper setup. i will be doing a scaled down version of the stripping protocol i use with the 2 half barrel kegs, basically both filled to max capacity for stripping so 2 strips gets me enough low wines for a spirit run as opposed to 4. ill see if i can find a link. thanks for the kind words.
