Greetings,
I spent 10+ years in the middle east and ran a 4", 5 plate CM still. Of course it was all sketchy but the demand was unlimited. One of the best experiences of my life, I think everyone has a little "Breaking Bad" deep inside, I want to tell the story some day but need more time as "the business" is in new hands. I really miss the distilling (not the location, lol).
I returned to Canada in 2015 and went down the rabbit hole in all grain brewing, in the middle east it was mostly sugar fermentations as sugar was subsidized and grain is hard to come by. So I had a lot to learn on the grain side and built out a brewery in the basement.
Recently a buddy hit me up to help assemble a still and I found myself ordering parts, here we go again, but just for my own consumption this time.
Looking forward to participating in the forum.
Cheers,
