Hello from a new member in Canada

Hi everyone.

Per the recommended protocol, my first post and introduction.

I’ve been interested in distilling for some time, and a couple of months ago started a part time gig at a local startup craft distillery, currently focused on gin.

I’ve learned an awful lot in those two months, but mostly have learned how much more I have to learn!

I hope to take these learnings and get into hobby distillation at home, and this looks like the place to make sure I go in with eyes wide open. I’d like to eventually try whiskey, I guess that will depend on what I read here about your advice for a novice.
