Thumper NET WT
How full should one fill the thumper, 1/4, 1/2 I suspect if one were to over fill the thumper one would get fruit in the end result too not clear.

Re: Thumper NET WT
Depends on what "tool" the thumper is being used for.
At a minimum, there needs to be enough liquid in the thumper to make it blow bubbles at the beginning.
If the thumper is being used as a steam rig.
Ya need to keep in mind how much it's going to fill by the end of the run, so it doesn't overflow.

As a general rule 1/3-1/2 you boiler charge is recommended as far as size. Its hard to answer how much you should fill it because it depends on what your trying to do with it, the thumper is like shady said a tool, and it's a very versatile one at that. If your doing something like wash, beer, or water just enough to cover the spear, if you're talking low wines you can add significantly more.
Check out the thumper calculator and try playing with some different variables and see how the run behaves.
