First introductions to any alcohol production

Hey everyone. I've never brewed beer or distilled anything. I've been watching a lot of Still It and reading these forums thoroughly over the last couple of weeks and decided this sounds like a fun new hobby I want to be a part of.

While being most interested in whiskeys and bourbon, I do expect to venture into vodka and possibly gin not long after I start up. I'll be looking to keep a modular design for my build to allow me to do both affectively.


I'll be making a post in the construction section with some rough drawings to gather some opinions before I start sourcing my materials. Thank you for all the great info I've found!
