Noob Alert

Post by Rusty Ole Bucket »

Hi All,
I've been lurking for a while reading posts so I thought I should sign up.

I've been interested in distilling for years but never had the time or ability to do it. I find myself with both currently and figured I'd give it a try.

I don't have a still yet, I've never made a mash, I haven't even bought the first fermenting bucket. I watched a few videos but that's about it. I'm looking forward to digging into the Home Distiller dictionary, learning some stuff and trying this thing out.

Welcome. This hobby is pretty simple most of the time. It’s really just boiling fermented stuff and catching the rain. Bit like the science you get in 6th grade. Just be safe. Good luck out there.

Justins pretty right .Alas most teachers seeded us with stuff about separating Ethanol and water due to its boiling point back in school and unfortunately it sticks . ……but it’s not quite right . :ewink:
That stuffs up most Newbies in a big way .

Hide the thermometer and go forth .
