Good day guys,
I've been watching videos, researching, and reading on here for 6 months or so. It's been a hobby in it self learning the ins and outs of the trade. I finally decided to start ordering some gear, and start with the basics. Other than a cleaning run, I have yet to run the still. I have a few batches of washes on the go. Thought I'd start with a few basic tried and true recipes. I have a few buckets currently fermenting: birdwatchers TPW, Shadys Sugar Shine, and a oat/wheat/raison vodka that looked interesting on "Still it" YouTube channel.
I'm just getting started, but already realizing the time, gear, and effort involved in this. I'm looking forward to learning from my mistakes, and being a sponge of all the information on this site, and other sources.
Thank-you for having me.

Welcome Elm you are off to a good start. The time and attention to detail can at first seem daunting. But it becomes addictive to tweak a recipe and procedure to make a spirit that suits you.
Cheers
