i had an account many years ago, but the stilling was on hold for some years due to different home locations. Now settled with a house and lots of space, it was time to get back. As a long time homebrewer, beekeeper and winemaker, mashing with grains and all is a well known area.
Currently i have a grainfather mit a T500 lid, all gaskets wrapped with PTFE, connected to some TC clamps with a Liebig PC (pot still), selfmade from copper tubing. A first sugar wash and stripping run was done (after vinegar and acrifical run).
Looking into making a reflux still from stainless steel, too. This will take some time. Currently thinking of a colum with TC clamps to have different heads, starting with a LM, Boka style. I have a MAG welder and will try that myself, i like to weld and blacksmith, too.
Spirits i like are whisk(e)ys, rum, gins, neutral for all kind of liquers (with honey or fruit), will have a try on some brandy next season, in the garden are a lot of apple, pear, cherry ... trees.
Greetings
