Hi everyone,
Newbie here, coming from the Northeastern side of the USA. I'm very new to the entire distilling process, but through my line of work, I have a vast knowledge of batch making, the importance of raw materials, production processes, kettles, temperature regulation, and SAFETY.
I'm excited to start this new hobby. I recently was gifted a 20-gallon (75L) copper pot still from my wife's aunt, as she's moving and doesn’t have room for it. I've always been fascinated by the distilling process and interested in making whiskey (thanks to Moonshiners on Discovery), but from my readings so far, I might try to tackle vodka first.
I look forward to reading as much as I can before I dive in, and I'm excited to learn! I'll be a first-time father this April, so I’ll need a new hobby to keep me around the house more.
-Cheers

What a bonus that potstill was! I have the same size and find it really convenient. Welcome to the forum.

Welcome to the forum.
That's a nice sized pot for a beginner, you are very lucky to have it.
