How did you celebrate New Years.

Post by Bushman »

Went out for Mexican dinner with my wife, and our sons family then spent the night at their house watching the various New Years Celebrations on TV. Very relaxing and wasn’t out on the roads with the crazy’s. Had a big momma at the restaurant (equivalency to two Margaritas). Then had a few drinks at our sons house.

We stayed home.

My wife is recovering from pneumonia. She mostly stays wrapped in an electric blanket and only moves when putting another log in the woodstove.

Our eldest son was shot & killed four weeks ago, we are not in a mood to celebrate much right now.

Forest What a horrible thing to have to live. Please know our prayers are
with you and your whole clan.

Living in the west we can watch the ball drop in New York and still
be in bed by 9:15 pm. Couple of Sweet Feed drinks, No dinner
fast night!

Happy New Year ya'll

May his memory be a blessing. No father should have to outlive his son.

We stayed at home and visited with family.

Our deepest condolences, FB.

Stayed home, sipped on barrel-aged bourbon after dinner and watched a movie (on the west coast here). Opened a bottle of bubbly for ball-drop and ushered in the New Year with family.

Forrest that is brutal. Condolences to your family.

We stayed at home, the wife and 5 of the kids. We have a tradition of a bon fire in back yard, last year we could not burn it because of dry conditions and no snow. Last night was beautiful, -16 only a light breeze and big fire. A few friends over and family. Just the way I like it. Oldest son had a bottle of Captain Morgan white, gave him a shot of my rum, he had a couple more after setting the captain aside. I liked that.
Cheers Everyone.

Stayed at home, made my own Mexican food. Few drinks and TV in bed by 12:30.

So sorry for your loss.

We met some friends for dinner and drinks before going to the Symphony. They had a Cirque type group of performers doing acrobatics over the music. The show ended at 10:30 and they had DJ music and dancing afterward. We decided to head home to avoid the crazies on the roads. In bed at 12:00.

Copperhead everything is relative. We've had many New Years eve fires at -30. We are referred to as Great White North for a reason. A former coworker came here from Oz and told me about +50 where he came from. I know how to dress for cold but anything over 30C is too hot for me.
Cheers
