So I went to pick up more flaked rye and got looking. Of course the imagination is always running so I found some "interesting things".
1) 3 grain cereal: (Cracked wheat, cracked rye and flax seed). Good or bad? I'm thinking the flax seed would be too oily. Any thoughts out there?
2) Cracked wheat: (Cracked wheat is produced by cracking the hard wheat kernals into fragments approx 1/4 of the whole kernal. All the nutritional values of whole kernal). Would this make an interesting whisky or no?
3) Potato Starch: (Potato starch is a pure, food grade white powder product).
Could this be used in warm water with malted barley to convert it to sugar for the yeast? I'm thinking a potato vodka but instead of potato's for the starch, just use the starch?? Yes/no??

Numerous 57L kegs, some propane, one 220v electric with stilldragon controller. Keggle for all-Grain, two pot still tops for whisky, a 3" reflux with deflag for vodka. Coming up, a 4" perf plate column. Life is short, make whisky and drag race!
