Interested in Making Hydrosols, Essential Oils, etc.

Post by Angelicalist »

I am from and Live in Texas, and I have done a few Home Brews. Mostly 1 Gallon Distillers Yeast Wine, once with just Sugar, another Time with Sugar, Raisins and Pineapple, but One Time I got a 40 Gallon Blue Barrel and made some Cider. I have looked into the Laws around this and You can make something like 100 Gallons of Homebrewed Wine per Year before it’s ATF’s Jurisdiction and You can make Unlimited amounts of Cider as long as it has no Bubbles, the Term used in the Law is “non-effervescent”.

But my Wife and I made a bunch of Soap a few Years ago, and I now have been Interested in Recreating some Punic Wax and the Wax Headcones from Ancient Egypt. And Kyphi, which is a kind of Incense made with Wine.

So I bought a Distiller Machine that makes 1L of Distilled Water, and a yet unknown amount of Hydrosol, per Hour. I will be using Distillers Yeast again to make some of the same kind of Wine and I will be Distilling it to make Ethanol for Infusions and for Distilling Herbs (I will put the Herbs in Water sometimes and I will put them in Ethanol sometimes when Distilling them). And this will be Used for making Soap, Candles, Solid Perfumes, Balms, and just Bottles of Essential Oil and Things.

Another Focus of mine is Ukuphahla, I will be doing a lot of Things with Imphepho, Including but not Limited to: Making Hydrosols, Making Essential Oils, and even making some Vape Oils, etc.

So I just wanted to Join the Forums here because there aren’t a lot of Places Online where You can Discuss Distilling Things. And I have already Learned a few Things by Reading the Essential Oil Distilling Section here on the Distilling Forums.
