New to the forum, been distilling since 1995 or so. I found this site looking for a calculator for potential alcohol. I already have a literal lifetime supply of spirits. I don't even drink that much but enjoy the science of it all. The more I know, the more I learn that I don't know. I did decide early on that very small batches are hard to repeat.
My latest build looks pretty good to me. 15.5 gallon keg converted pot with a 4" tri clamp opening and electric 3700W stainless element. Connected to a 3x6" sight glass to watch for puking, then 3x21" copper reflux column and a 3x7" copper 7 tube dephlegmator, then down to 2" for the 180 turn down to a 2x24" 12 pipe final condenser and a 2" cup collector. All Tri-Clamp connections. Also have a bubble plate setup with up to 6x3" plates for optional high test stuff. I built the whole thing from parts and copper, even the controller.
I have put 1/2 of my batch of blackstrap molasses/sugar through this as a test and it worked wonderfully. The second 1/2 of baker's molasses soon. it will be a little more than 50G of 10% potential for the final run which should just about fill the pot.

A pic of the test run before the dephlegmator was made and added.
