I am a journey level machinist living in the pacific northwest. I am new to home distilling, fortunately in Washington state it is easy to get a craft distillers license. My hope is to develop my skill in this area to produce a very fine grade of spirits. In time I would like to develop my sense of taste and smell to recognize all the many different products produced in the stilling process. I am building a small modular still that mounts to a stainless beer keg. I have never run a still before, I have a few friends that suggested that I get into the hobby and are willing to help me along.
