Haggy's Packed Reflux Column Calculator
This wiki-native calculator preserves the functionality of Haggy's excellent Packed Reflux Column Operating Characteristics calculator.
This calculator estimates the operating characteristics of a packed reflux column run, including reflux ratio, product ABV, flooding behavior, condenser performance,
and time-step progression through the run. It is intended for packed CM, VM, and CCVM-style reflux columns and preserves Haggy’s original HD calculation model.
For a more detailed explanation of this calculator, check the Packed Reflux Column Calculator Guide.

This table shows the progression of the run in discrete time steps. Each row represents the condition of the boiler, vapour, and distillate at that moment in time.
Time is elapsed minutes from the start of the run. Amount is the remaining liquid in the boiler. BP is the boiling temperature of the boiler liquid.
Strong is the percent alcohol remaining in the boiler. Vtemp is the vapour (condensing) temperature at the top of the column.
Dout is the distillate output rate. Pure is the percent alcohol of the distillate at that moment.
Collect is the cumulative distillate collected. Agg is the cumulative average percent alcohol of the collected distillate.
