agree with VB and THM. I try not to carbon but don't disagree with the practice totally. More metal and I'm onside with giving this system a try.

punkin made the comment a few months ago that it doesn't really matter how precise your thermometer is as long as it is consistent.

for neutrals I'd say go ahead with a large fermenter, but if you're trying to run multiple generations of UJSM you'll be a busy man with that setup just trying to stay ahead the mash.

Don't think you'll find anyone on here who is willing to drink your hooch if you use a radiator BUT even if someone gives you a 'yes' answer to your question would you still be willing to take the risk just cause someone on the internet said so? A brita or a water filter can clean up tap water a bit...

Re: Why would so many beer/wine hobby suppliers have proof hydro

It's legal to sell that stuff. The guy at the brew shop I go to says that he doesn't care what it's used for once it is out of his store. I see he has something called a European Connection Liqueur Kit that is supposed to make 20+% using 8kg sugar made up to 23L. I'm guessing that it's just a turbo ...

Re: Keg with a 'thread in' fitting

Picked up 3 of these kegs last night for $20/each. If you're in Canada apparently what happens is that they ship becks or heineken (possible others) over here from europe and it's not worth the money to ship them back empty so they cannot be returned for the deposit. I removed the valve out of one o...
