Hi to everybody, excuse me for my little English, and' from about 1
year that distill some wine and risco to get a good result, discard
all of this' that it actually comes out to 79,5°c (head of the column)
as it makes a will and I pick up all of this' that it comes out
(etanolo) actually to 92°c, the distilled product and' very clean
without odors or unpleasant tastes. Where is it' my problem? You feels
too much the alcohol, I have also done some absinthe and to say the
truth the result and' very good but alcohol feels too much him (it
seems to smell some pure alcohol). To thing and' due and thing I can
do for resolving my problem? Thanks to whom will be able' to be me of
help, ciao to everybody.

I thought I had replied, but there was a duplicate post with no subject. So here again is a possible explanation and some possible solutions.

Newly distilled spirits are often harsh (rozzo, rude). Depending on the type, sugar is sometimes added--mostly to rum. The spirit will become smoother with age, and aging on wood will also help. Some on the forum filter with carbon for the same effect.
