Well gee, thanks for the friendly advises. Would it be too much to ask where in that site to look to answer my question? The only thing I see is a secrion that says that carbon filtering will clear up the cludiness, but that aint my problem. The problem is cloudiness AFTER running through a filter. Has anyone encountered that before?tater wrote:why dont ya try reading http://homedistiller.org/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" rel="nofollow

I rinsed the charcoal before I used it. Do I need to prepare further? I had used the very sane charcoal before and the product came out clear.Brett wrote:yez ginzo, im sorry i cant remem where but i remember reading it somewhere recenly in this forum maybe try a search within the forum for charcoal?.

Ginzo,
When you say the "very same charcoal" do you mean you re-used the same charcoal? If so, there is your problem. Do not reuse the charcoal. If not, then you may have not have properly prepared your carbon. Links to information on this is below. If you do prepare your carbon correctly, and got too far into the tails then carbon isn't going to help you much. Carbon isn't designed to for correcting poorly distilled product.
Here is Gert Strand's web page on how to prepare activated carbon http://www.partyman.se/activatedcarbon1.html
Here is a link to a free E-book describing care and use of your activated carbon http://www.partyman.se/free_ebook.html
