Easy way to bend soft copper without a kink and a bender

The best way to bend soft copper without a bender. First thing to do is bend the copper tube straight. Then cap or crimp one of the ends. Fill with fine sand, cap or crimp the other end and bend. Its real hard bending the copper but you will never have kink.

I used salt insted of sand. Worked like a charm. (found the tip on a thread i cant find now)

The best thing about the salt is that you can easely wash it out by connecting one end of the pipe to a water hose.

I have yet to try it, but i heard people used water too. seems like it'd be easier to fill and rinse out...

an old shiner told me this when i was younger 12 or 13 or so. and wrapping it around a round post or tree.

If you bend it around a tree, doesn't this necessitate cutting down the tree to remove the coil?

I was talking about using a tree that was marked to be cut anyway and add it to the pile for future use. Sorry I wasn't more clear.

you set up under a hollyberry or such. smoke goin up is broke up. fat lighter will catch up most anythang. most all use to keep warm an cook by wood. now some make white smoke an some make black . look about you youll find what you need. some toted stove wood to get it goin to.
