Hey all, this is my first time posting on here.
I am rather experienced in making brandy wine and distilling, but as you could imagine I am looking for a "quicker" route. I have started reading the parent site and feel a little overwhelmed with all the different mash/washes.
Here is what I have already:
2 bags cracked corn
plenty of sugar
hydrometer and alchometer
What do I need to purchase and in what amounts. What is the correct process or order? Should I make my own malt or purchase something from grocery store?
Thanks in advance on helping me get started on my new adventure. I think as I get more oriented things will make sense

Re: Recommendation of Corn Wash
With what you got you could do "UJSSM" (http://homedistiller.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=725)
the malt you need, comes from home brew shops, or you you can make your own, but that is a nother proses.

Re: Recommendation of Corn Wash
Cracked corn, sugar, water and yeast is all you need for the recipe mentioned.
If you are wanting to do a cooked mash, the homebrew shop should have a 'base malt'. Another option is to use the available enzymes (alpha and gluco-amylaze), which you can get from Mile-Hi.

It is the very things that we think we know, that keep us from learning what we should know.
