An allusion to one of my other online aliases. Prophecy. The curse of knowing the future. Problem is, I only know a couple things for certain about the future and ain't none of 'em pleasant. All the more important to make the journey worthwhile...

My mother came from a very large family. 7 boys and 7 girls. She was the next to youngest. I only got to know three of my uncles really well as most of them were gone before I was born.
One was Magellen, one was Paul. Both of them were hardcore alcoholics. Uncle Paul would drink the cold medicine in the house when he had nothing else to drink. He would make his own wine in a five gallon bucket by his bed.
It might sound funny, but I loved both of those men dearly.
They are long gone now and I miss the days of sitting around a lightered knot fire and hearing their tales.
I'm sure Uncle Paul wouldn't mind and might even be proud.

It's a reflection of my life journey of living with Lupus (systemic lupus erythematosus). If you fight the wolf the wolf ALWAYS wins. The art is in the navigation of the journey where you keep the beast at bay.

Well she's definitely qualified to make the assessment. Sometimes I can't believe she puts up with my bs, guess it's because she doesn't see me much. 30 is kinda ocd maybe I should go get that checked, but having a rd navy is kinda fun, folks don't know what to think when they walk into the office.

I trained to be a bodybuilder for many years. I still do but not to that extreme. Every time I dieted down to do a show...less than 5% body fat, I got very sick. EVERY TIME! I also have too many injuries to continue that lifestyle. Anyway, Kronk came from the cartoon character in The Emperors New Groove. It was also my name and avi on many a bodybuilding boards.

It describes my personality.

Arcane = known or understood by only a few; mysterious, obscure, secret

Outlaw = a rebel; a nonconformist

I have few true friends (in fact, my SO is my best friend) because I tend to be different from most people. In other words, I never really fit in any group. I have a mix match of traits, but never match any particular group. Hell, even the rejects reject me. Tends to make me a loner.

I'm the guy who walks into a room, and all the people look at me and wonder if they are all about to end up on the 6 o'clock news in the next mass shooting story. I guess I lack charisma. People judge me on this, but the few who look beyond this grim exterior realize I am one of the most honorable, courageous guys who is willing to help anybody in trouble even to the point of risking my own life.

I stopped trying to fit in a long time ago. I am who I am 8) .

My name is from the russian Samogon Sam = (Self), mag =(to make), Magon = (spirit): The G is pronounced H as in Harry.
In Russia samahon basically means to distill your own likker, be that pot/reflux still.
Vodka, coming from the russian word for water (Voda), is pronounced wodka:

90% of stills in Russia/Ukraine are Pot stills. People who live in the country make a lot of vodka and supply, not only to the locals, but officials as well.
More shine is sold in Russia/Ukraine than commercial brands or label'd vodka.

My friend Pavel says that he prefers to drink samohon not just because it is cheap, but it tastes better too and NO HANGOVER.
He owns a very big restuarant in Ochtierka (near Kiev), he also says that the locals use it for medicinal purposes.
Grains are used to produce a very smooth voddy with just a hind of body in it.
I have seen 37%, 40%, 44%, 52%, 58% abv, I dare say you could get it stronger but for me %40 to %44 abv is enough.

Hope I did'nt go overboard... Just my 2 cents worth...
