Salutations from OZ

Post by Pissy »

G'day all, i thought I would take the plunge and and finally sign up.
I have been doing ALOT of reading off this site and is by far the best info source.

I will asking Question, in what I hope is the relevant section, as its quite long winded and probably not the best place to ask now.
I'm only just getting into the brewing and tried a batch not too long ago.
I'm going for a the neutral spirits and then adding the flavours, I think its a good way to start and learn before getting adventurous with flavoured washes

I have inherited a Distilled water still (2L boiler straight into a condenser, no column), the boiler has 2 separate heat elements (power?) which at the moment are either ON or OFF some there is plenty of power as it boils the solution in about 5 minutes…YES I know its too small but I figure I would learn the basics on a this small POT still unit before getting a larger REAL still.

My question is here,....regarding "Possiblity of setting up a continous flow small pot / colunm still"
LINK to follow

Cheers

Never seen a 2l distiller. Best you could do with that is run some neutral off in a larger still dilute it and use the micro :) as a flavouring still. You haven't a cat in hells chance of doing cuts on a 2l, sorry mate :)

As for a CF that would be more complex than building a batch still from scratch.

There again I have been known to be wrong
