I am interested in what kind of heat source you use, just curious

Run one side dry with an internal element and things may get pretty dern exciting.

im heating with two 58,000 BTU burners. i set the kegs on cinders and the burners are bolted into two stainless bowls upside down with a steel circle around it. ill post pics of the burners when i get back into town.the only problem with the setup it propane refils get expensive when running.

Since you're gonna be running the two 15's together I'd think you'd need to make the thumper a 15 as well. I think the 7.5 would be to small. Could be wrong tho.

Re: doubled keg pot still
well, id thought of that. technically the thumper should be atleast a fourth the size of the boiler. 7.5 X 4= 30gallons. and on top of that i normally run the kegs as slow as i can which gives me around 140proof (with the colums packed). the thumper would allow for 180 proof and as a slobber box just incase. once i try it out i can tell if i need a bigger thumper. if so, its not hard to find kegs where im at. i will keep yal informed on the outcome once i fire it up.

Hey looky here... I wondered if that would work.. let us know how she does...
Re: doubled keg pot still
You should really add in a line connecting the 2 kegs together below the minimum liquid level. This will ensure that the liquid level self requlates between the 2 boilers. This helps because it eliminates problems that occur due to different sized headspaces and vapour pressures.
I would maintain the 2" for as long as possible. You are going to generate a lot of vapour and restricting too soon is going to push your vapour speed really high, which could cause problems for your worm.
You might even find that you need to add in a pre-condenser before the worm just to give it a boost. A lot depends on the water flow rate through your worm bucket.

I wonder what happend to this guy im interested to see how this worked out. Can somone explain to me how the cuts are not smeared with this design or is it only used to do a stripping run?

Skybound Spirits in Seattle will be running a conceptually similar commercial sized pair of conjoined (George and Gracie) kettles soon.
However the difference on the Skybound tanks is that they will also have the drains from each tank manifolded together to maintain equal liquid levels through the course of the run.
