I Tied the Knot

Post by Smokehouse Shiner »

Yesterday, March 11, 2011 I married my girlfriend of 6 years and my son's mother. An old friend of mine ministered a small, simple ceremony in my front yard. I smoked spareribs and pork butt and everyone drank themselves silly. :D

HOOOO DoGGGGGG y -- Congratulations there my man -- Special time in a couples life when you join together. You remember these times and remind her on a regular basis how special it was when her life was joined with yours.

I got me a reason to have a few -- not like I needed a reason but I always try to have one.

Congratulations and many happy years ahead for you and the family, your story reminds me of a former biology teacher I worked with before retiring. Her son and daughter-in-law have a business where they provide beer, wine, and alcohol plus the entertainment for weddings. They make their own beer, and alcohol but don't use it at the weddings because it is illegal but are looking into a commercial license to do just that. Not sure where they are on the process but your wedding reminded me of their plans.

Congrats.

Went to a damn good wedding not long ago. Somebody I saw grow up, now has her own family. Great location, great people, great time.

All the best for you, Smokehouse. Hope it is a long and happy one.
